World Ocean Day Beach Clean-Up.

The weather-man predicted a bleak outlook for the day but we committed ourselves to getting together to do the clean-up on the 8 June 2025.  We were very happy that the weather-gods smiled on us and it was a lovely day despite the bleak prediction.    

A heartfelt thank you to:

  • Arries Pharmacy for generously supplying hand gloves.
  • Paul @ RE/MAX with Oasis Sedgefield for keeping us hydrated with bottled water.
  • Pili Pili for their support and the delightful ice creams for the kids.
  • Groot Brak Conservancy for supplying recycling bags.
  • Knysna Municipality, who were on hand to collect the rubbish as we completed the clean-up.

Rabies Warning 2024

Rabies in Seals An alert has been issued, rabies has been observed in a small number of seals along the Western Cape Coastline.  Please be vigilant when walking on the beaches, if you see any seals that appear to be aggressive please stay away from them and ensure you inform the authorities.  It is important to keep your dogs on leash to ensure that there is no transference of the disease, one case of a dog getting rabies from a seal has been reported in Cape Town.
