There are at least four Gecko species that have been seen within the Conservancy boundaries and this small lizard is less obvious than the others. The Tropical House Gecko and Marbled Leaf-toed Gecko are the ones you'll see taking advantage of outside lights at night, and the Common Dwarf Gecko is smaller and active during the day - you'll notice them moving along fences or railings in search of prey.

The Cradock Thick-toed Gecko is not as readily seen but there have been at least two sightings of it adjacent to the Green Bowl. They have large eyes, stubby snout and a thick tail. The individuals noticed locally have been darkish with a white chin and covered in spots.

These Geckos along with more than 10 species of snake, at least 2 species of tortoise, the odd chameleon and skinks including the strange snake-like Cape Legless Skink represent an awesome reptile diversity.
